We arrived at our new park around 12:30 PM. Its about 7 miles west of Tucson next to the Saguaro National Park. It's desert with some mountains Four other trailers/ fifth wheels were also checking in.
This park used to be a water park. The layout is a little weird and most sites are very close to each other. We got lucky and got a pretty good sized site. We're near a road that is noisy so its just like being at home. You can hear shooting so there must be a range near by. This is AZ so it doesn't surprise or bother me. After our long drive (an hour and 15 mins) we were hungry. So I got on Yelp and looked for a Mexican restaurant. First one we went to was closed. Picked another one and it took us on a drive thru the desert in and out of town. We got there 15 mins later and it looked like a drive in. So I stopped using the Yelp app and used my Maria app. She saw this place so why not.
The food was excellent. Chips, salsa (once we figured out there was a salsa bar) and guacamole were tasty. My Maria app said we'll be back for posole (mex soup).
Lot's of hiking around here so we will be getting our steps in the wild outdoors.
