Houston, British Columbia

We left Prince George this morning after we washed the money pit and Maria's Honda.  The 3 1/2 hour drive was thought rolling hills with lots of lakes. Its in the high 70s here. The new park (Shady Rest)? (Greenacres)? host said it poured rain last night. Clear sky's so far today but it's early.

Houston is famous for the largest fly fishing pole at 60 ft long.
The pole was built by an avid fly fisherman who loved the sport. I had to go see it for my friend and co-worker Commander Ken Conway. He's also an avid fly fisherman. I can hardly wait for him to retire so I can sit on the riverbank and drink and watch him fly fish and catch that 200lb er. Or fall in and get wet LOL!

The population in Houston is about 3000 people and the main industry is forest products (logging). We had lunch/dinner at a small cafe in town. I had a club wrap and Maria had a Thai chicken salad. Both were good but the Thai salad was noodles not veggies.  We shared and had some to take home.

Off to Hazelton BC in the morning. About an 2 hour drive. Hazelton is where we meet the caravan tour group. We are arriving about 4 days early to relax before the tour begins.

Today is Memorial Day in the good old USA. Thank god men and women were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to keep us free. But remember there is a group of people that everyday keep us free to. They go to combat everyday with people who would not think twice about taking our freedom and life's to further their criminal behavior and ideological crap. But the public forgets what these "volunteers" do everyday to keep us safe and free.

UPDATE: It's Raining
