May 8th

Today is Friday May 8th. A wonderful day for some like Europeans who celebrate victory day with the fall of Germany during WW II.

 

For others just another day marked off on the calender and for some the end of a birthday week. Although it seems the week was a little short to me. 1200 midnight will be here and it will be business as usual for another year. Oh well. But mark my words after this blog is done I'm going to get my once a year birthday present ;)

Went back to Costco to continue stocking up. Even more folks there getting milk. 

I talked to a Indian guy and asked why all the milk. He said they use it for tea and his grandkids drink it by the gallon. OK I guess that makes sense. Walmart was also almost out of milk. 

I got back to the coach and being me I Googled the Costco Indians buying milk question. Well the first city across the Canadian border is populated by Indians from the southern region of India. They are mostly vegetarians and so milk is a staple in their diet. Yogurts, Curries and sweets are all made with milk. So I learned something new today.

I've got most of my check list done on the coach so this weekend I'll recheck somethings and we should be ready for the adventure north.
