We're back at Oregon Motorcoach this morning after an uneventful night at Camp CAT.
They took the coach right in and we headed to breakfast. After breakfast we went back to the bike path next to the river near U of Oregon. We took a short nap in the parking lot. The bike path shares the parking lot with a mall. We parked in amongst other cars but mall security keeps eyeing us. Paul Blart Mall Cop hasn't talked to us yet but we will be back tomorrow. After our nap in the car (very romantic) we headed out for our walk.
Maria made me walk six miles. I doubled my step count to 20,000 today.
We then went over to Jerry's Home Improvement Store looking for some rubber boots for our trip to Alaska. The tour includes some fishing and gold panning. Didn't find the boots but what a store. It makes Home Depot look like a joke. My brother Jerry would have a field day in this place. The tool area was huge.
We than went over to Country Coach in Junction City were the money pit was built. Not impressive. Next door was Premier Coach in one of Country Coach old buildings before the bankruptcy. They had lots of used Country Coach's on consignment. One of the Co owners showed us the coach's. Lot's of nice coach's but both me and Maria walked away agreeing our coach works for us. Even with all the issues.
One thing nice about coming to a repair facility is you find out everyone has problems. When you drive these complicated vehicles down the road bumping and shaking things are going to break. So I always feel better hearing everyone else's repair stories. We're still having fun in Eugene and probably will be here through the first part of next week.
As I write this I'm sitting outside enjoying the evening with a glass of wine. Brought a couple of regular bottles at Costco ($6.00) good stuff. Might be moving on from the boxed stuff LOL.
I would encourage you to move away from boxed wine.
ReplyDeleteI mean, really, how tacky it is that a man who travels in a 44 foot motor coach pours his wine from a rectangular box that is utterly lacking in soul? (I am not sure you actually pour wine from a box, I think it more like trying to get the contents out of a Juicy Juicy box)
Enjoying a fine glass of wine as you watch the sunset is a reward in itself, much like enjoying a fine cigar in the evening.
But a Swisher Sweet is not a Cohiba Esplendido anymore than a boxed wine compares with a glass of Chateau Margaux 2009.
You have earned the good life you are embarking upon and I encourage you to "seize the day" by enjoying the finer things...
My only question, John, is are you drinking the Kirkland Signature Cabernet or did you go for the iced Cold Duck of your youth??
You remember what they say about Ice Cold Duck...
Run Maria Run!!!
