It took Peterson CAT about 10 minutes to fix our fuel leak. They checked the engine warning code that keeps coming up. Its a turbo pressure fault code. They felt it was caused by the fuel leak. WRONG. Colton Truck put a solenoid in to fix it, Santa Maria CAT put a new sensor in. Nothing has fixed it.
So we drove six hours with the engine warning light coming on every once in awhile. The coach run fine. No overheating, loss of power and we kept up with the trucks on the mountain passes. You got me whats wrong. We are going to one more CAT dealer here in Eugene than the hell with it. We're heading north.
Going to relax for next two days.
That Gerald Giese is one handy guy to have on speed dial! Now with iPads and tablets having video conferenceing we can all have a "virtual Gerald" with us at all times to assist us with our mechanical and home repair emergencies.
ReplyDeleteThis is a Godsend for those of us from Bakersfield, as most of our repair solutions involve some sort of tape, rescue tape, scotch tape, duct tape....
Because of his actual knowledge and mechanical skill, Gerald is like Thomas Edison, Frank Lloyd Wright, Bob Villa and Junior Samples all rolled into one amazing person, to the other Bakersfieldians who reside here on the Central Coast.
Whenever alleges that nothing good ever came out of Bakersfield I immediately throw out the names of local boys, Guy Madison, Frank Gifford, Rick Mears and Gerald Giese.
