Yes the Curse Continues

This morning started with a great (cheap) casino buffet breakfast $9.95 for both of us. Maria was good I wasn't.

We went back to the coach started it and the engine was leaking fuel.  I checked and it appeared the fuel bleeder valve had come unscrewed.  I screwed it back in no leak so we headed north. We stopped at two rest stops checked the bleeder and no leak. Well if it was only that easy. About 25 miles north of Redding in Lakehead CA I lost power. We pulled over and we were leaking fuel. The whole bleeder valve was now gone. We're screwed.

Called Coachnet (AAA for RV"s) who wanted to send a repair guy but it didn't sound like they were sending me a diesel mechanic. So I called the guy and explained what was up or missing. I was right he couldn't fix it. So I called back to CoachNet and told them to send a tow.

Maria went to wash the fuel off that had blow all over her Honda. I called her and told her to see if she could find the fuel bleeder part on I- 5 on her way back to the coach. She laughed but said she'd look. Hey a shot in the dark but maybe with the part we could limp to a repair place and avoid a tow.

In the mean time a very nice CHP Commercial guy stopped to check on us. Nice guy and we knew some fellow CHPS that worked in SLO.

So Maria drives up and guess what. She found the part. It had been ran over but I cleaned the threads up and put it back in. 

I got it screwed in tight but it leaked so we went back to waiting on the big rig tow. I sent my brother pics of the parts. He suggested putting Rescue Tape around it and see if I could stop the leak. He's so smart. It worked no leak just as the big rig tow arrived. So the tow driver followed us back to Redding and we're now camped at Peterson CAT. 

I trying to stay positive but I'm not the most positive person. Marias a trooper and says we are fine, have a roof over us, food, and Direct TV. She's right.  

We will get through this and continue on.

Oh I checked my email tonight and my VISA card has been compromised and cancelled. So  I might be calling for a loan.....
