6It's Saturday morning and more and more folks have shown up for the tour. As of last night 4 or 5 rigs are still enroute which makes a total of 24 rigs. Not counting Spike and the tail gunners. It will be a long caravan for sure.
We have been attending the nightly happy hour. Everyone has a story. The folks next to us lost thier tow car on the way here. The husband unhooked it because they were lost and had to backup to get out of a dead end road. He thought it was in park but it wasnt. He unhooked it. It rolled back. He tried to stop it but it went down a cliff through a ladies well house. (I thought we had problems). Needless to say they don't have a tow car now.
But another guy topped that. Although it didnt happen on this trip. They were parked in a very rural area on farmland. At 3 am in the morning they awoke to a crash and there 42 foot coach shook as if it was going to tip over. He said they went out to find a drunk kid in a car had driven off the road through a field at over 90mph and hit the front of thier coach. $70,000 later the coach was fixed. The kid survived and his parents had good insurance.
As I said in my last post the Internet sucks here and I can't post any photos. But if you go to www.AlaskaRv.net and on the menu click on tour photos. Then click on 2015 tours there will start to be pictures of our tour.
We are having fun but the misquitos are out in force. I might have to go from shorts to wearing pants and long sleeves :(
