Cold in Arizona?

We woke up to 48° and rain this morning. I thought it was always warm here in AZ.  I guess we are warm compared to most of the country. It got up to 58° by 10:00 AM so we went out for our walk around the park. I knew exactly where we were at all times. And for some reason I was hungry and wanted Mexican food.

Headed into Phoenix this afternoon.  Went to Costco for a few things. Costco has a new "pickup your own item scanner" and scan your items while you shop. Self check out and you're done. No waiting in line. It was the quickest Costco run ever.

We than had an early dinner with Maria's uncle Clem and his daughter Bonnie. Clem is 90 years old in great shape and his mind is sharp as a tack. He was a barber by trade who owned his own shop and was still cutting hair at the shop up on till last November.  He told me he was in the Air Force during WW II and came out in 1946. He then went to work in a copper mine in Surprise AZ. He said it was hard hot work with not much safety equipment at the time. So he went to barber school and supported his family cutting hair. He was married to Maria's aunt for 67 years before her passing about 5 years ago.
I owe uncle Clem big time. He is the one who gave away Maria at our wedding. Maria's dad had passed so Clem did the honor. Thanks uncle Clem you gave me the best thing I've ever received.
